Chance came to us from a friend of Tiffany's. She's the most laid-back dog we have, lacking the tendency the others have to get in our faces and demand attention.
Unfortunately, Chance's immune system has had its hands full trying to fight off a mange infection for quite some time. Despite dips too numerous to count as well as oral medication and topical creams, she still has infestations on the sides of her face and on her feet.
Quick lesson in mange: There are two kinds of mange, both simply a parasitic infestation. The horribly nasty contagious kind you might be thinking of is called soemthing, but Chance suffers from something else, which is not contagious. In fact, all dogs have the parasite that causes ___, but in most cases, the normal immune system functions keep the parasite from causing the symptoms of mange.
